A Non-profit Organization and Support Group for Autism Spectrum Disorders:

Autism / PDD-NOS / Asperger’s / Mental Retardation / Related Neurological Disabilities

 

We welcome family members, educators, students, friends, and medical professionals of our community.

 

Our mission is to ensure our loved ones are included in all aspects of our community through education, advocacy,

and public awareness throughout their lifespan. 

 


Our objectives are to:

·        Share our experiences with other parents

·        Discuss concerns

·        Provide emotional support

·        Share information about educational strategies and therapies

·        Exchange names of professional services

·        Network with parents to develop social and recreational activities for our children

·        Develop appropriate adult programs

·        Communication and public relations with our community

·        Expand community resources

 

í We can provide financial assistance to parents to attend professional conferences and training sessions í

 


Support Group Meetings:

 

We hold support group meetings for parents of children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and PDD-NOS.  Other diagnoses are always welcome (Asperger’s, MR & other related neurological disorders).

 

Support Group Meeting for Parents of Children with ASD:

Date : The second Thursday of the month, during the school year (September through May). 
Time
6:45 – 9:30 PM

Location: St. Vincent DePaul Church, Education Bldg., Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA. The meeting is held in the Education Building, located at the rear of the church's parking lot.  Directions: http://www.svdp-richboro.org/directions.htm

During most support group meetings, we hold a support group for siblings (ages 7+).  Registration required.

 

Networking among Parents of Adolescents and Adults with ASD:

 

Bucks County parents/relatives/caregivers of older adolesents, age 17+ and young adults, can contact Holly or Ambry, if interested in being part of an active network regarding current & future adult issues.
